I know with all the experience out there, someone can help with this.

What bibs have a slightly thicker lycra fabric? I ask because I bought (brand unnamed) a set that was like wrapping my junk in black saran wrap, I don't prefer this type of "advertisement".
There must be a brand with a little more modesty?

Thanks for your suggestions.

I have several brands of bibs and shorts, and the Giordanas have the heaviest Lycra of the lot.
They're also overall comfortable and well made.

I have a pair of Bellweather bibs that have thicker lycra than the other brands of bibs that I own. I always notice the difference when I put these on.

The higher end Nalini shorts are made with 'Fieldsensor" which is quite thick/durable....

I have a pair of mid-range Descente bibs that seem to be a little thicker that the PIs I usually wear (Ultrasensors and Microsensors)

Bought a DeMarchi bib short from Nashabar on closeout and it turned out to be much thicker than the DeMarchi race short i have.

I like both the Giordana Laser and Hincapie HC-12. Both seem to have a thicker fabric than most others I have tried. Hincapie also makes the HC-12 in a superroubaix fabric if you are feeling especially modest (or cold.)

my sugoi evolutions have the thickest fabric of all my bibs, thicker than giordana lasers. PI, Santini, Assos are a lot thinner and slicker.

I like giordanas but for the past few years I've gone to the sugois on longer rides and almost all my centuries and they seem plenty thick.
