What the Frak happened on BSG????

I fell asleep watching Friday night’s episode. I watched the first 5 – 10 minutes and zonked during a commercial break… and then woke up and caught about the last minute or two. What the Frak happened???? :crap:

After a couple of “LOST” style episodes where not much of anything happens, they’ve been back into the action for the last couple of episodes. Friday nights are tough for me, into work early am, home to work out/ get a good ride in, pick up the kids and do the ball game, make dinner, teach a class, then back home. By that point when I sit down and relax my body just shuts down into Zonk mode. I’m going to have to start taping as a backup.

So, can anyone fill me in on what the Frak happened?

Starbuck jumped back to the fleet with the Rebel cylons!

The fleet was going to blast them but Col. Tye stopped them.

The Pres. cut a deal with the Rebels to jump to the reserection Hub, free the model # (3?) that is in frozen state, than destoy all resurection ships so that the cylons are all mortal. The idea is that the one in frozen state can ID the final five within the fleet.

Sharon shoots the Rebel leader chick (Don't remember that models name) becuase of the dreams she has about her taking her baby.

Starbuck has almost completed her transformation into a guy. Sub plot that only I know about.

Gata, sings the whole time. Why I don't know.

At the very end, The pres., Starbuck, Gias go to talk to the hybrid. As soon as the plug the hybrid in, she sceams "Jump" and the ship jumps away from the fleet.

The story will end with the Cylons being mortal, the good cylons going to earth with the Humans, Geta will get a Cylon leg, Gias will be the 5th skin job and become the leader. ATMO

I am waiting to watch the last episodes back to back without commercials - and I usually like commercials.

All that said I completely enjoyed your synopsis of Fridays show.....and will def tune in here for my updates.

"Gata, sings the whole time. Why I don't know." He sings everytime he is reminded of his missing leg, which every moment he's awake. I was hoping the song was a clue but it didn't sound familar. Yes there was a lot of back dealing being done to discover the final five. one of them is suppose to know the way to earth. My favorite scene was where the president tells the woman sleeping with Baltar she knows about the affair and tells her that she doesn't care if she spends time praying on her knees or just on her knees, she wants to know who's been telling Baltar about her dreams. Looks like it's going to be wonderfully violent ending. Sharon shooting the lead cyclon human chick means there's going to be a power struggle amonst them.

I'm more interested in the Big Picture. Saul slept with the # 6 model in jail, we think she's preggo now. This lends to the notion that some get left behind on earth and become Adam and Eve? I dunno. But while showering this am, I spent time thinking about the possiblities. I recall the original series (I own the 1978 pilot on VHS) and if I remember from when I was a kid I(age 8) they did make it back to earth and there was a battle near the Great Pyramids. I remember Egypt.

Anyway, I believe the 1978 show opened with this during the intro for all episodes...."There are those who believe... that life here... began out there. Far across the universe. With tribes of humans... who may have been the forefathers of the Egyptians... or the Toltecs... or the Mayans... that they may have been the architects of the Great Pyramids... or the lost civilizations of Lemuria... or Atlantis... Some believe that there may yet be brothers of man... who even now fight to survive... somewhere beyond the heavens."

Alright. I’ve been keeping this to myself but I can’t do it any longer. Yesterday and Sunday, #6 strolled past my house walking a Boston Terrier (Huh?...I know, I know). I did a double take when she walked by on Sunday….and no, I didn’t confuse RI-Hans to be her. He was wearing an OSU Beaver Jersey and riding a white with watermelon and green accented Giordana when he stopped by (Sorry Hans, you’re just not that good looking ;) ). Bruno Boxer alerted me yesterday to her passing. Same build, same blonde hair, similar facial features. DANG!!! Turns out she's the sister to one of my students girlfriends (I recognized the dog and knew who to ask). Anyway, if I wasn’t happily married I would have been angling for a conversation and a phone number.

I've been watching the show for so long i've forgotten if there will a 5th season. So is that it for this season? or the show? Adama & Co reaching earth only to discover the inhabitants have already nuked it. Or will they discover the earthlings have left the planet because of another alien attack similar to their own cylon incident? There're looking for a new home too.

In the meantime, I am here, for you and your questions regarding Battlestar Galactica. Yes, it was Earth they found. In a different thread (or perhaps some sci-fi-geek forum I subscribe to) the discussion of earth came up and I asked the question, "What Earth will they find? Single cell life? Ape? Caveman? Boy George in the 80's?" As we see in many sci-fi flicks ala Planet of the Apes or an episode of Twilight Zone, earth is post nuclear holocaust.

May I suggest to read By the Waters of Babylon by Stephen Vincent Benet? Here is a short story, a quick read, from 1937, regarding an Indian-like tribe and a ritual...
