First, I have no connection with this operation other than being a satisfied customer.

I have a 7 3/4 size head and have never found a any cycling cap that was not extra tight. I was surfing around the other night and found:

http://www.little-package.com/

This is a home operation in Portland run on the side by a registered nurse. I believe she made the current Vanilla caps. Any way she makes custom caps that not only look cool (depending on your own design) but are available in seven different sizes; a fine product available in cotton twill or wool.

Give it a look, I'm so happy with my cap, which is black with a white bordered red stripe across the crown and onto the brim, that I have ordered a second.

I have had 7 Little Package hats, I've given several away......they are the best, particularly her microfleece winter hats.

I just got three caps from her for my family for a charity ride we're doing together. She does great work and is super nice to deal with.

Been meaning to pull the trigger on a custom cap from Little Package. From the looks of it...her stuff is some of the best custom I have found on the web.

Here are the ones she did for Vanilla:

Got mine in the mail yesterday. The first caps that cover my ears and lower back of the head, do not fall on my eyes, and do not leave nasty pressure marks at the seams. They are great.

I had a few caps made by Spoke Punchers and they were really tight on my noggin...

But they were very nice and made them in no time at all.

I've had great luck with a Kucharik-made Campy hat on my big head. Seems their caps are cut a tad larger as a general rule.

But once it bites the dust I'll have to try Little Package. Looks really nice!

The great thing about Caroline at L-P is that she custom makes them to your head size. She can also make them "one size," like the Vanilla Charlie cap, but that kinda defeats the purpose...

Walz Caps (http://walzcaps.com/) seem nice as well

I found that Assos caps were larger than the brand (that I can't think of) that seems to make just about all the regular team branded or custom caps you see out there. The company is italian I am sure.

But check the assos caps.

Walz Caps (http://walzcaps.com/) seem nice as well

I really like these as well as they don't have plastic filled brim but are doubled over stitched fabric and are easy to shape.

I was going to place an order for a Little Packages wool cap, but Caroline is backed up and isn't taking any orders till 2010.

Anyone here have experience with Walz wool caps?

I checked out the photos. Are people who have geared bikes or functioning showers allowed to wear them? Aw SNAP! :D
