The real reason for the greatness of this Forum: The people who become great friends, either virtual or real flesh and blood.
There's so much sniping happening right now, and I just think it would quiet down if we all hearken back to the spirit of the last few Open Houses, or the wonderful FLR's that Douglas has so graciously hosted.
There was such a great fellowship at those events, that they were going to be great no matter how your ride went that day or if it was cold and rainy.
That spirit is lacking in so much online communication, and in so much of the Forum interaction right now. Let's just remember to treat each other like we're all going out for a ride this weekend, to have a great time.
Even better, get together with Forum pals, attend a forum cycling event, and feel that wonderful spirit. Then remember how great this place can be when we treat each other like we were in the same room.
