In the grand scheme of things, this is fairly minor, but it's amazing how over a period of a few days your cycling can go to h3ll. About a month ago my SI Prolink Gel Flow saddle died. Selle Italia no longer makes that particular version so I've had to search for a replacement. I have tried a whole bunch of different saddles, and so far no luck. Today was the first ride with the Regal. Tolerable, but, no go. The ride was three hours and at the end I was really feeling it.
I've gone from having zero saddle issues to major-@ss problems, and it's not fun. :butt:
Moral of the story - if the manufacturer discontinues your saddle immediately buy up as many as you can, or figure out some other alternatives while you still have something that works.
