The Phonak Cycling Team has issued two more statements in relation to the Tyler Hamilton case, claiming that one of his B samples has turned out negative. "With regard to the Tyler Hamilton blood testing case the Phonak Cycling Team takes the liberty to announce that the blood samples examined in the B-Test under the UCI procedure are positive. The B-Test blood samples taken under IOC, however, will turn out negative."

Dear Hemoglobin Gobblin Goblins:

If Tyler was blood doping (a question that will never be answered definitively...we will get the legal ruling...not the truth, not the right, just that which fits the letter of the law), then he was simply short of cash.

News Flash: If one uses an altitude tent or trains high/lives low, one doesn't test positive for EPO, because the body doesn't produce the indicator cells the tests look for. Getting caught for blood doping or EPO just means that you are behind the curve or can't afford the altitude tent.... Of course, the issue of altitude tents raises another problem. Do you ban them because the cheaters can use them to cover their EPO tracks? Do you keep them because some riders use them "cleanly?" Your Doofus would say the former...if they can be used to aid in cheating, they have to go.... Anybody who goes for an altitude training camp gets the vampire monitors every day....

Really, your Doofus would rather watch his school's girls tennis team. They're good students, nice kids, and the dog can chase each ball that flies over the fence....
