The past few days I've seen a Nagasawa Special track bike locked to a pole on Delancey St. Never mind the stupidity of locking such a valuable frame outside -- both wheels weren't locked to anything, and they were expensive ones too, Velocity Deep V's laced to Phil Wood hubs. All a thief needs is a few seconds with a 15mm wrench and the wheels are gone. :crap:

I love the Huffy who's rear wheel was stolen, yet the $100 Kryptonite lock is still in place on the frame/front wheel....that lock probably cost almost as much as the entire bike.

True Fabrications had a swell ATB at the show--with a faux rust finish.

Total corrosion=good camo.

And yeah, back at university I took my bike into the classroom a few times when I forgot my lock. When I did lock it out, I placed way off the beaten path and in plain view.

Usually if a bike is locked up like that Nagasawa, it means the owner is within spitting distance. The lock is for convenience, the owner is less than 15 seconds away.

I wouldn't step more than two feet away from my own bike on Delancey street... and that is why I absolutely won't bring a lock if I'm riding a nice bike.

BTW, what color nagasawa was it?
