clincher,

i am going on the cheap...............

on my fixed gear...........so am more concerned with the mudshedding aspect - more so than a weight concern.

OK so a quality set of all condition tubulars for $40 ish. That's not really possible. However. The Challenge Griffo's are well priced and never failed me no matter what the condition (barring rolled tires, my fault though :crap: ).

I don't stock them but E-Richie does. Send him a PM would be my advice.

Good Luck.

Michelin mud. It's not just for mud. I have some maxxis tire I want to try this fall too.

clincher

doh!

in that case muds, maxis larsens or challenge open pro's if you can swing the cash. open pro's are more supple than the other's... feel like a tubular. almost.

What do you think of the Maxxis Raze?

What do you think of the Maxxis Raze?

killer treads on the maxxis's. not as supple as an open tubular. so the tread is awesome but perhaps you cant use it when it counts as the casing is stiff.

think off camber stuff or getting the bike half-sideways around fast corners.

I just got some Vittoria Cross XG Pro 700x32mm from PBK for $25ea. Seemed like a good starting point. And it works with the color scheme.

Roman says he gotst some challenge grifo clinchers, he can sneak me out of his war chest.

how are these...

working in the shop through early fall, so am just wodering about my tire choice.

would like something for mud, but also just an all around good set of tires.

will these grifo's handle the mud? :D

just askin'

just found this link: http://blanco-suave.blogspot.com/2007/09/tired-of-tire-reviews-too-bad.html

They will if they have the new tread with the double dot. Michelins will let you ride sideways.

Flux hooked me up with the tubular version, held on with atomic powered glue.

Good fun.

The clincher one was fine, too, just trying different things out.

I've only used the tubulars and they are terrific.
