They actually made traffic "engineers" ride their own creations?

I remember reading a study back in the 70's about how many more accidents occurred in bike lanes rather than riding on roads without them...

This is a syptom of an epidemic in this country...
I used to think that this is a result of stupidity or a reflection on the poor level of education, but it's not. This is a result of people not having ANY pride in their work and not being held responsible to anyone. This is due to total apathy.

My wife currently works for a company that does not fire people and it is reflected from the upper management all the way down. Without getting into specifics, this has resulted in office arguments, lack of paychecks, me getting involved with her management (can you imagine how bad it would have to get for a husband to come in to sort things out) and most recently a lawsuit.

It scares me that the people that do this kind of work vote and get picked for juries.
