I work in Boston, so Patriot’s Day was a holiday for me. I made plans in advance and my buddy Rick (formumite name: “overmyhead”) and I made the pilgrimage to see Richard Sachs. We had lunch in idyllic downtown Chester, and then headed over to his shop. He was a wonderfully gracious host, spending at least an hour with us. He gave us a guided tour, let Rick take photos at will, and pretty much let us wander throughout the showroom and workshop as we saw fit. There were cool things to see in every nook and cranny. I brought the “Verge” Sachs along with me (and e-Richie shared a fairly amusing story about some custom lettering that may have purposely been left off the bike when it was painted). Rick and I bought a few souvenirs and we were back on our way to Pawtucket. It was a day very well spent.

Regards and Thanks, e-Richie.

Thanks, MilanoTom. I've certainly been by his shop over the past several years, both on bike and by car...and have even peeked in the front window of his studio, but have never been fortunate enough to get a tour by the man himself or see e-richie in actionmo (figured I'd leave him alone until it's my turn). Again, thanks for the post & pics. Between your post and watching my new Imperfection is Perfection DVD, I feel my curiosity has been temporarily satisfied.

I'm sure they have a fantastic smell. I've got to get back to the NE sometime soon. Jerk, richard and darrenCT will be on the need to see list.

I'd like to stop by for lunch on the way up to D2R2; at least it won't be hard to spot the place from the road
