The more travel on a mtb the larger they are making the HT. Nomad, Intense, downhill bikes.

Several of the "head shock" type forks used this headset. Action-Tec which was a great fork actually, produced a number of bikes with Moots early on that used a 1.5. I'm not sure if the Cannondale Head-shock uses this size or not.

i had a 1993 klein attitude with a 1.5" headset. it was like bulletproof. i put appriximately 50,000 miles on that bike from 1993 to 2006. when i went to sell it i had people from all over the world trying to buy it. i actually got double what i thought it was wroth. best bike investment i ever made!
