Sorry for very basic questions.

One. For a particular rake angle, does that always produce same offset regardless of the bike headtube angles? Another way of asking is, is the offset measured by distance horizontal to the ground, or to the perpendicular to the steering tube?

Second question, bikes with same trail, but has different steering tube angle, would they handle the same?

Does stem size affect the steering characteristics of bike? I imagine that the longer stem has bigger arc swinging, and perhaps slower steering?

1. The rake or offset is measured perpendicular to the head tube centerline.

2. No.

3. Yes but not to the same degree with all riders.

Wheel flop differs with head angle. You could consider wheel flop acting as "power steering" to amplify steering input.
