Today I received my NOS 2004 steel Fierte; the frame came w/ an uncut Kestrel EMS Pro OS fork,
a frame genealogy card signed by Ben and Team Serotta, and a warranty card!
I am so excited - I own a new Serotta, its all steel and its red!

I want your suggestions on a couple of things. First, I need a headset.
I've never heard anyone regret installing a Chris King and I'm thinking of silver.
I have a brushed aluminum stem (Ritchey Pro) that I'm planning to use - it really matches the seatpost collar and decals nicely.
Is there a Chris King like this or another quality headset with this brushed aluminum finish? Or use the (sorta shiny) silver King and maybe brushed spacers?
Is there a seatpost with this look? or could I use black?

I have some Dura Ace 9 speed bar end shifters I want to use. What Aero brake levers do you suggest? Are there 26.0 handlebars that work well w/ the barcons? (I'm wondering about something like the Salso Bell Lap that flare out in the drops).

Any other suggetions are welcome!

- Mike

The Oval stuff does look nice and they have a 27.2 seatpost that is 350mm.
I'll need almost 220mm of post showing for my saddle height - whats the minimum that should be in the seat tube?
