Backstedt, the 2004 Roubaix winner, emerged from the forest with two cracked deep-section carbon wheels.

Is anyone surprised that a 200lb rider going over the worst pave would crack Zipps? I don't care what Zipp engineers say, it seems foolish to use 404s in PR.

the wheel company probably put a $200,000 bonus if someone won the race using their wheels.
