I'm wondering how folks like our friend Douglas come across those nice TA Specialties and Stronglight type of cranks. I'm unaware of a source. Any ideas? Thanks.

They thought ahead and mostly bought them new when available through "normal" channels, atmo.

Your LBS has two possible sources; Euro Asia Imports in CA, and Mel Pinto Imports in Falls Church, VA. Harris Cyclery may have some stock, and Mel Pinto (look up on web) does sell some items retail to consumers.
