My Sachs is now up to 55 watchers, think that's a record? It is for me! Hey wait a minute guys, did y'all band together and decide to mess with my mind!? We did that one time to a friend of mine, ended up with something like 75-80 watchers and he couldn't believe it when his item didn't sell....hum, he's probably getting his revenge on me right now!

If we try and make it a group effort you could 11,000 or so watchers ;) :D

Yeah, I hate the "watchers" catagory listing....sort of "so what" as most of them are just trying to establish a price range for their own stuff....or trying to entertain themselves over a rainy weekend! Oh well, no big deal, just an observation. Sell it, keep it, whatever.

In my experience, watcher = person who thinks the price is too high and wants eBay notfication that the listing has ended and has been re-listed at a lower price. At least, that's why I watch an item.

....but I'll relist it one more time (if it doesn't sell this time) and at the same price. I think it's a fair price, especially at the low end and I'm not going to "cheapen" e-richie's work by selling it for less. Heck, I'll just do a little updating of cables and make it my "neighborhood" ride, I can ride about any size close to this as long as it's not for more than a few miles. NOT a complaint about how/why others use ebay its just that I'm not going to give away a nice piece of cycling artwork. In my experience, watcher = person who thinks the price is too high and wants eBay notfication that the listing has ended and has been re-listed at a lower price. ...I'm one of those watchers, but just for entertainment value.

I'm betting myself the frame doesn't sell.

Since Richard himself expressed interest in it but lacks the cash,
perhaps he'd be interested in taking the ENTIRE bike in exchange
for some kind of downpayment on a NEW Sachs frame.

Might be worth the inquiry.

I have a bike up right now with 113 watchers and 12 bidders already (there still are more than 3 days left). My experience is that there are two sure ways to get watchers: offer the bike at an over-inflated price (people want to verify if there is some new nut-case who is overpaying for everything, or people hope to swoop in after the end of the auction to make a more reasonable offer that would enable the seller to avoid needing to relist the bike) or, offer the bike in such a way that it seems likely that the successful bidder will have the chance of walking away with a deal.
