OK,
I'm needing to replace some parts on my Vanilla s/p crash. I need some deepish drop road bars in silver. Stem is brushed stainless, 26.0 clamp, something coordinating would be nice. Something not too heavy would be nice, but I'm not a lightweight, so no need for weight weenie light.
Anyone have any recs?
Thanks in advance,
Jon

Nitto Mod. 176 "Dream" bar. Not a weight weenie bar, and you won't fear for cracking every time there's a creak out of it.

i'm afraid of removing anodizing. local builder says to not do this.
i thought nitto was going to be my option. i'll have to see if any of these have a 150ish drop.

Is your local builder Vanilla? Cuz I know they do it.
Cinelli 66's on bikyle.com just picked a set up last week.

Actually, my local builder is Paul Sadoff of Rock Lobster. I have a couple of Vanillas from before I moved here. I'm currently working on a commuter project with Paul. We had a conversation re stripping the anodizing off of bars and he really recommended against it. I'm sure that if you kept a close eye on whatever it was and kept it waxed, it might be ok. I just don't want to take any chances. Crashing hurts way too much.
I'll check on the Cinellis. The Nittos all are 140 drop. I like a bar with more drop since my HT is high enough to allow me to really use drops-thanks Sacha.
Thanks,
Jon
