Look Free-Arc setting gizmo

Just wondering how the free arc feature on Look pedals holds up over time. Does it get worn down readily or get sloppy. If I set it to 6deg will I always get that, assuming the cleats don't get too worn?

I am thinking primarily of the cx-6 and cx-7 pedals.
