Good one!

Go north of Portland on Hwy 30 (past St. Helens) and you’ll eventually encounter two classic places:

“Tanning, Toning, and blade sharpening”.

And..

“Steaks and Girls” (black spray painted by hand on white plywood). Classy place.

I’m not kidding.

Darren,
Young, good looking, personable, beautiful house, world's most perfect bikes --I think we need to harrass you more for your own good (not because I am jealous, of course!)

staying at the Jupiter hey? Get yourself a little map and find your way to Missisipi St. Check out the district (it's obvious once you get there) and then keep going North to where it turns into Albina. ON the left hand side you'll find The Albina Press. Get yourself a french press coffee and enjoy.

Oh, and if you get this pre noon, pm me and I'll treat you to lunch.

If Darren gets on your nerves, give hima can of tennis balls and a pair of white shorts. then, send him to the gay bar. He'll never return.

Hey, Darren -

Are you in Portland to get fitted by Sacha on the new 'Vagen?

Anyways, send me a PM to let me know about the fitting and any other inside info you learn about the 'Vagen. I can't wait to get mine.

I bet that after half a beer he'll be passed out under the table. I've heard that he can't hold his liquor.

Well, cut him off after two beers if you can. Apparently, that's where the dude gets all his energy from. Then, take him up the worst hills you can find tomorrow. When you get to the gnarliest inclines tell him, "Don't worry, the toughest stuff is yet to come."

He pulls that crap with me all the time!

We did 64 miles and 4000 feet of climbing. I took him up every hill I know in the greater Portland area. He is like the energizer bunny, even with his hangover.

You might need to feed him one of those monster burgers with an egg and a stick of butter on top of it to slow him down a little bit. I really dont think he can be harmed with beer.

The one that really kicked my ass was the King's Ton, from the Kingston. Egg, pastrami and cheese on a month's ration of drippy beef.

my humble recommendation for our beer-loving friend is to have a pint of Copacetic IPA at Amnesia, along with a fresh grilled sausage. Be sure to explain to darren how oregonians pick up girls-- by complimenting each others dogs at the bar.

I know, I know... ugh. I'm glad it's you this week, Shino, and not me. See if you can put some humility into the kid, would ya? Maybe pour some led shot into the Caad 4 tonight, and see if that keeps him honest. Or, like Maunahoele said, maybe a heavier diet is the key to weighing the kid down.

I knew I'd love the Portland area - my kind of people. Darren has a cat, so he'd probably resort to some pickup lines that would get him slapped silly!

Whatever the case, have fun out there and let us know how the 'Vagens are coming!

There is probably a strip club nearby that has a stage side hopper with bar service. Get there pronto for important recovery exercises.

darren forget the water, just freshen up the beer that you already have on board. What you are feeling is the toxic reaction to the stale beer. Fresh beer will make you feel better. Any maybe a lap dance, too.
