I couldn't get the illustration to copy, but it's in this pdf file of the manual.

You can go to branfordbike.com also. The navigation is a bit too many clicks but there's alot there.

is the first or second spacer bigger? (big to small...)

The first spacer to go on is the thicker of the two that have grooves cut into the OD. The rest are the same.

There's enough difference that you can eyeball the mistake if you look at the cogs after putting the spacers in wrong.

The size (width) of the spaces is listed next to the exploded view. Looks like the 11-21, 11-23, and 11-25 have the widest next to the largest cog-pair. The 12-25, 13-26 and 13-29 have the widest b/w the second and third cog-pairs.
Or maybe not. I just pulled out a 13-29 (pls. don't laugh) and it looks like this is correct. The ordering of the latter three cassettes appears to have been clipped from the image posted. For all three of these, the ordering is: F-F-F-I-L. Of course, nobody on this forum ventures out w/o an eleven, so you probably have one of the first three cassettes.

12x23 Veloce. Individual cogs. Easier cleaning. I try to even the playing field. I am so ultra strong and fast that I need to give my Chorus and Record (and god forbid Red)-equipped competitors a fighting chance. So I use the heavy and flexi Veloce cassettes.

This diagram has a better view of how the spacers vary between various levels of Campy cassettes for 10 speed:

http://www.branfordbike.com/cgi-bin/perlshop/perlshop.cgi?ACTION=push&thispage=cassette/cog19.html&ORDER_ID=174119075

Scroll down about 1/2 way and there's a good section view of the assembled cassettes.
