Ditto!

He's looking very good.

I'm not a big fan of carbon but that frame has something I like...just not sure what that is. :)

or maybe dropped 50 pounds... I am happy for the man... Is he coming back to challenge Lance in the TdF?

but he'll probably want to ride the spring classics too. actually the guy looks good, the frame looks good the jerk thinks all must be right with the world. (so you guys want to get in line behind me for one of those things? climb, dnovo, anyone?)

That Eddy is holding. I am getting in line behind Jerk. This will take place of the C-50 I'm lusting after...

I would bet that he's lost at least 50 if not 70 lbs. He was a good 240-250 in photos last year and now I'd say he's around 180. Looks much better. Now I'm waiting for my idea for a geezer Tour to come true. Merckx, lemond, Hinault, Fignon. I'd pay money to see it.

brendan at competitive cyclist said the merckx carbon -- the normal one, not necessarily the 25th anni -- is very very stiff. jerk, have any of your euro buddies given you a ride report? how does it ride/handle?

it's sort of like your team sc but without the springyness if this makes any sense.....it is a robust steed for sure....given your preferences i wouldn't recommend it for you buddy...it's a little stiff and think r2.5/c50 but more so....tough to describe sort of feels like a pinarello dogma/prince but in carbon...anyways....yeah....lots of folks really really love the bike and it is definatly one of the nicest carbon jobs out there.....didn't recommend it to you cause i don't think it's your bag but anyway....

He looks great. I would guess that he dropped 50 pounds. I think he dropped the weight so that he could still keep up with his son.

I TOLD you to put the photshop down and back away slowly! Have you been using the “liposuction” filter again? . . . ;) ;) ;)

His face looks completely different. I didn't recognize him at first.
I think it is so cool that he has a picture of his son Axel on one of his bikes in his booth!

thanks, senor jerk, for opinions. i've definitely found that i like a bit of flex. the sc is ideal. and even though an mx leader is damn robust, i don't find it overly stiff. eddy sure can build a frame.

In the past I've stayed away from carbon because of:

1.) My size, weight, and strength. I just didn't trust it to hold up like steel.

2.) Nobody made them in my size.

I really like the lines on that and it certainly looks robust. It reminds me of a Corima (sp?). But, not likely readily available in my size.

I was told that there is going to be a third carbon frame this year from Merckx. Sorry, no details other than it's a sloping top tube and a little lower priced.

I think it's interesting with all the talk of how carbon is a superior material that most carbon frames tend towards the small sizes. Could a custom carbon builder(e.g Calfee, Parlee) design a bike for William that wouldn't snap like a toothpick?

I don't see why not. Calfee has been making tandems for several years. I think that application has to be tougher than just a half bike for a big guy like Will.

Well, maybe not, but they do kind of resemble each other now.

I checked and saw that the attachment wasn't with the note. My file is too large for the upload. Can anyone suggest how to make the file/picture fit the program for upload? My file is 1.36 mg.
