What have you folks found is the BEST method for removing several layers of tubular cement (Mastik) from rims? Tried acetone but it's slow to dissolve cement...

I find if I don't remove cement after several applications my rims develop uneven peaks and valleys that effect ride smoothness. Consequently I'm thinking I'll clean my rims more frequently than I have in the past.

So... what do you tubies think?

Methylene Chloride based paint stripper. Put it on with a natural bristle chip brush, leave it on 30 minutes, and scrape mess off with tongue depressors.

Gasoline on a rag. I have chainsaws (plural, I live in the PNW) and a mower, I usually have a can of gas around. I have found that it works better than acetone. The smell goes away after it evaporates.
