1) Carbon seatpost and steel frame - grease or no grease? (my first carbon post).
2) 9 speed chain with campy 10 spd chainrings - will this work? Planning to use 9 speed rear der, cassette, chain, but only have a 10spd crank. Would really like to avoid buying 9spd Record chainrings if I can avoid it.

i never grease a cf post in my frames atmo.
yes on the chain working iirc.

it is one of your frames, so would that be a manufacturer's recommendation? ;)

i also never take out the residual framesaver spu (can i say
that word here?) and it acts to tact up the post and keep
from sliding. grease exacerbates (as aopposed to master...)
the problem atmo.
i hope the folks out in the hinterlands are taking notes.
