Is the Pegoretti/Hampsten Giro-issmo history, just delayed or what? Were any made?

There's two possible alternatives. One of them is Steve's unofficial suggestion in response to a poster, further down the blog above.

The other alternative, is Hampsten Cycles upcoming Cinghiale Pro:

No details on this yet, although if I were to guess:

It's starting point will also be the Classic Road geometry of the Giro-issimo (more relaxed than the racing Gran Paradiso, more aggressive than the Strada Bianca), it will be welded steel, most likely from the magicians at Independent Fabrication. Having just received an IF-built Hampsten Strada Bianca, I would say quality-wise it is easily up there with the best.

I'm sure Steve will chime in. If I remember from his blog only one bike was built for a variety of factors. It does exist. I saw it. And it is something special. The paint job and graphics especially.
