Wow that is small, yet being a 650 it looks really well proportioned, nice!

WOW! That's pretty neat. Love the saddle to bar drop. Must be nice to be flexible.

That looks a lot like my wife's 47 cm Waterford 1200, perfectly proportioned.
Gotta share this:
She's a bike commuter, looks at bikes as appliances. I talked her into trying a road bike, and found a Waterford on eBay, needed a bit of work, but very nice. 8 speed Campy, pretty bike.
She has a flat on one of her commutes, can't change it herself, winds up at a bike shop. Can't get over how the young bike shop guy was drooling over her bike and components, very carefully clamped it on the bike stand using a cloth, etc.
Told her the whole story of Schwinn/Paramount/Waterford...
And yet, if I tried to tell her that same story... :D
She looks at my bikes a little differently now.

The saddle and drop on the bars look completely out of proportion to the bike. I'm not saying its good or bad, just a reflection on the size of the frame, probably...
What rims are those? Velocity deep-v's? I'm guessing that they give sort of a harsh ride in 650, especially for someone who is probably pretty light.

she likes where the levers are positioned.......it took a couple of years........this bike is from 98'
"What rims are those? Velocity deep-v's? I'm guessing that they give sort of a harsh ride in 650, especially for someone who is probably pretty light." - she never mentioned a harsh ride.........when riding this she is usually sporting a sh*teating grin :D

grin comment............just a moment of levity........
****-eating grin (plural ****-eating grins)
(idiomatic, vulgar) A broad smile indicating self-awareness that may suggest self-satisfaction, smugness, discomfort, or embarrassment.
2001, Philip Preville, "Summit of the absurd," Montreal Monitor, 26 Apr. (retrieved 28 Jan. 2008),
What I'm doing right now—lounging around, wearing a ****-eating grin—is the most irresponsible, despicable, reprehensible thing I could possibly do.
2008, Saul Landau, "The Mindless Iran Strategy: Bush Snatches Defeat from Victory," counterpunch.org, 5 Jan. (retrieved 23 Jan. 2008),
I can imagine him sporting his ubiquitous ****-eating grin and taking credit for international accomplishments.
quess the self satifaction would shtick................with my intention
