Where the  is spring?

-16F (-26C) when I stepped out to ride to work this morning - I didn't. 115 inches of snow so far and more coming this weekend.

Getting sick of cross country skiing.

Just venting.

Getting sick of cross country skiing

Have you been out in the backcountry? Nothing better than swooping down a steep trail in powder. I'd ski all year if I could...

Of course, if they could design snowstorms that didn't get snow and ice all over the roads, we could all be happy!

Sorry that this isn't helpful :)

I had it easy!

Only -3F when I went out. :fight:
The pain riding dowhill was somewhere between exquisite and exotic.
Got some blood flowing after a few miles, now it's all good sitting buck naked in my office warming up before I get dressed!

Spring is here in Tucson.
80 degrees right now. We're visiting in our motorhome.
Interesting city. Lotsa cyclist everwhere. And seems like every street has a bike lane. But the traffic. Yikes!
We rode Mt Lemmon yesterday. Classic 28 mile, 7000' climb through 3 different eco systems. Nothing over about 7%. Great roads and little traffic.
Housing in Tucson is a real bargain compared to the NE. Just something to think about.

Tomorrow I'll be doing 70-80 miles around Gainesville FL, maybe the best college town in the south. It will be 55 and sunny at ride start and will warm to about 72 degrees by lunch. Email me for directions to the ride start.

I've been banned from working with my colleagues in Gainesville. We have to meet at a neutral location, like Jacksonville.

Too many gators.

Colder than a well diggers heinie here in the midwest too. My wife is upstairs packing for a business trip to Hollywood FL for four days. She leaves in the morning. I have kid duty, Pinewood Derby building with the 8 year old and science fair entry completion with 5th grader. It'll be warmer in FL but more rewarding in MN. I think I would fall asleep on the second day of discussing straight through processing of variable annuities anyway, my only regret is that before kids I used to get to go along and play golf.

I don't know how people get any work done down there. That, and if I fall asleep on the lawn, a bull gator might eat me in my sleep.

I complain about the snow, but I wouldn't stay out of trouble down there, that's for sure.
