Dear Jack Brunk

You are my hero.

Do not ever leave your garage unlocked when I'm in town.

Jack, do you ride fixed on the road also or do you limit it to the track? Just curious.

I don't know. I think one of his team mates got drunk and crashed on the Velodrome after the bike show.

. . . really have that many bikes? Or does he just keep getting them, riding them hard, then swapping them out?

Not that there's anything wrong with that . . .

I have really paired down to my lowest count in a long long time. There's a lot of people on the forum that have surpassed me in pure numbers.

Cool! I recently built up my old Concours CS as fixed. No horizontal dropouts so I'm running a White Ind. Eno....so far, so good (wonderin' about that first flat change though). I must say I am quite taken with the whole fixed experience myself. It's just so damn convenient and low maintenance.

Just bring along a 6mm allen key and you should be good to go!

Good luck,

Oh honey...I'm sure that IF has appeared and disappeared from Jack's fleet.

Otherwise his garage would look like this:

And watch it, now that Jack has gotten hooked on the fixed culture...I hear he's starting to look at tallbikes. The white pink and green one in particular.

Hey May Ann,

You gave a way my secret weapon for the Furnace Creek 508 this year. I'm thinking about doing fixed this year at the 508 so that ride will work.

Aren't you worried about high winds?

/\/\ I like the waterbottle cage on the seat tube of the black tallbike. One can only get a drink once they've stopped and dismounted (disembarked?) from the bike!

The white one is likely a race model. Minimized frame bracing to shave grams. It appears to be a carbon fiber fork.

Oh honey...I'm sure that IF has appeared and disappeared from Jack's fleet. Brunkian physics predicts the existence of the virtual bicycle. Jack abhors a vacuum:
