Howdy folks.
I know I have read about a headset other than CK that many think is just as good or better. I think it starts with an "A" and it might be German. Anyway, I just spent about an hour poking around in here and couldn't find any reference to it. Please help!
Thanks, Doug

Cane Creek's newest offereing is supposed to be on par with CK headsets. I think MSRP will be about $140 ($10 more than CK). Unlike CK, they'll come with a full compliment of matching headset spacers.
The titanium wood inlay ones at the show were beautiful, although $650 is a bit steep for a headset.

No, you have to buy the King spacers, you dont with a Cane Creek 110.

Has anyone scored the 110 yet? e-Richie are you using these next year on your race bikes? Are they a worthy alternative to King?

Anybody know of a vendor that sells these in 1"? I am finding mostly (only) the 1-1/8" versions...

This was a chance for Cane Creek to make a headset that doesn't have all the logos that King has (that seem to bother some people). I guess they thought otherwise.

Those C.C. headsets look most excellent. D@mn shame.

Subdued graphics is a wonderful thing. I'm contemplating a Campagnolo Record for my next headset simply to reduce the bling factor.
Cane Creek could have simply used a couple of those "CC" logos and it would have looked great.

I thought I saw CK headsets on cyclingnews that had subdued graphics.
I'm going to hold off until someone makes headsets inlaid with bald eagle beaks.

Squint, yep, Chris King had them at the NAHBS for mountainbikes. Not sure what their current plan is for subdued graphics for roadbike headsets. Sweet picture.

Yes, but you have to pay extra for those. They don't come with the headset.

Just do what I did here. A little 1500 grit wet sandpaper, 0000 steel wool, and a j3welers polishing cloth and I have a no logo Chris King :D

Watch out though. They don't always match. I ordered some pewter ones and they were 3 shades darker than the pewter headset!
[edit] Now that I think about it, it was actually the stemcap that was a different shade. Spacers were the same as the headset.

I spoke with Peter Gilbert briefly at NAHBS. He said that it's likely they will do a silver headset without the logos. I think it'll be 1" but I may have that part wrong.
Peter also had a very cool Pacenti fixed gear with S&S couplers with him at the show.

Bought them at the same time and from the same place.
