I just got an Easton EC-70 carbon post to go on my CSi.

I've heard 100 times not to grease the post and to make sure the inside of the seat tube is free of grease and burrs. No problem, but I also regularly apply Frame Saver, which leaves a kind of greasy residue on the inside of the tubes.

Is this going to cause the post to slip? I'd guess I should clean the frame saver residue from the inside of the top portion of the seat tube, what do you think?

That is what I would do although I don't have any experience with that (two cabon posts I use are with a carbon and a Ti frame).

Believe it or not, carbon will absorb the frame saver (or any other lube).

So the best thing to do (the only thing, really), is to completely wipe clean and bare the inside of the tube, then add some auto wax, like Turtle Wax, to the tube. That will help you install it without making it slip or absorbing.
