Bike Friday? Uh no...

I was out yesterday and saw a guy standing by his bike, what looked like a Bike Friday from a distance. As I got closer I realized something was off. Then I realized his wheels were as big as mine, the frame was huge. He's riding a 69 cm frame.

That has to be the laregest (non-circus) bike I've seen in person. He has restored this Panasonic from the 80's with new yellow paint and new Ultegra components. It looked great.

I used to have a 69 cm center-to-top Fuji "Royale" set up as a fixed gear. Approximately one inch of exposed seatpost and a 60 mm Technomic and I was rollin. Sacha & Steve H. both witnessed this beast at one point. I got more f'in compliments on that bike than you would believe.....

There is a cda being built up at my lbs that is 68.5cc. TT of 67 with a 140 stem. From what I gather, the tubing is special. At first glance the tubing looks to be aluminum because of it's diameter.

I have done two 74 cm frames for some NBA types but the Yao bike is a totally different beast.....I would love to have built that thing or at least tried to ride it afterwords....
