With little regard for cholestorel levels or self respect myself and Manet have sacrificed ourselves to find the best street food in NYC....on foot and on bike.

Part I
http://streetvendor.org/public_html/article.php?story=20071029163539485

We looked for Dosaman and got nuttin. He was not out yesterday. Manet spied a likely cart which turned out to be a guy NOT on the Vendie's list but wow he really should be. This is Sammy's Halal and we got the MOST wonderful lamb wraps dosed with firey hot sauce...then went and sat on the sun drenched ball courts on west 4th street...yeah that place . A few pics below of Sammy's and some dead fish too.

More to come.

You bastids are jealous right? ;) hehe. Day Two.
Rode all over the city, bouncing off cars. Ran into Kevin H. in CP rockin' a beautiful Pegoretti...looking good Kev :) Than off to find another "Vendie". We located Kwik Meal and got the absolutely BEST felaffel sandwhich evah!!!
Oh, and a must do ride thru Times Square. Thank me now for not poting pictures of almost naked guitar guy. Brrrrrrr.

If it were later in the year I would suggest a ride over to the Red Hook Ballfields: http://www.thepauperedchef.com/2006/08/the_red_hook_ba.html

IIRC, the action doesn't pick up until after Easter....

You guys will do anything in the service of humanity it seems!

Enjoy but don't forget to grab a pastrami on rye at some point! Maybe a side of kishka?

Not sure if they have those here. I think you just pay her $20 and get a private show. Bring rubber gloves.

why don't you guys come by here tomorrow and experience some beautaceous NJ riding? My feelings aren't too hurt that I'm not in today's action. I'll get over it. I'm over it.

Sooooooooo, pal Manet and I feeling just a little guily over the glutenous excess had a real bike ride yesterday. Yes Virginia there are hills in Jersey and some really frickin' wicked beautuful park roads.

VendyQuest 08 is a wrap.

These ride get-together forum lovefests are making me think
i need to get a car. Suddenly i feel like i'm not at the center of the action
when i'm stuck up here in the snow.
