After soliciting and accepting a US dollar from me electronically, this photograph was taken of Shino by my operative, Ginger:

As you can clearly see, Shino is drinking what looks to be a rather expensive beer. At the time, he was noted as saying in a clear, loud voice:

"Faruck! I owe roman meal a dollar!"

Shino then immediately repaid me the dollar. He owes me nothing, and was reported as having enjoyed the last of his beer, without the bitter, acrid stench of bills left unpaid.

Enjoy yer beer, Shino. This one, the next, and bask in the glow of alloy Camapagnolo bits.

Shino appears to have placed a piece of fruit in Karen's beer.

That can't be right, even in Portland.

Friends! The fruit in the beer is not the point! Everyone knows that is gay!
What is important is the .33! It has vanished! Shino! This is not your fault!

Love,

Roman

Nothing the matter with being gay. There is something the matter with fruit in beer, be it flavor or actual hunks of fruit.

Gay! Not that there is anything wrong with that!

Fruit goes against the natural order of beer!

One of my personal faves is the Mai-tai from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. It ordinarily has a big wedge of pineapple in the top of the glass, and sometimes a maraschino cherry in the mix (which I refuse to eat - different story). It also has several shots of rum in it as well. I can't think of many better ways to sit at waikiki and look at diamond head. It is also fun to take people there when they first get off of the airplane...

That's the ticket.

The view from my scotch is 5-8 inches of freezing slush and a flooded driveway.

We got over 86 inches of snow so far this Winter.

Stevep will tell me he did three hours on the road today.

Sigh.

I feel your pain Roman.

Last week it got down to the low 60's.

At night.

Had to use a blanket.

Almost had to close the windows.

I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain

I'd unravel any riddle
For any individ'le
In trouble or in pain

With the thoughts I'd be thinkin'
I could be another Lincoln
If I only had a brain

Oh, I would tell you why
The ocean's near the shore
I could think of things I never thunk before
And then I'd sit and think some more

I would not be just a nuffin'
My head all full of stuffin'
My heart all full of pain
I would dance and be merry
Life would be a ding-a-derry
If I only had a brain
