I ran by the local fabric shop today, and noticed some old photographs lying on the table. The one included below caught my eye. It's a picture of an old tandem. It's made a bit differently -- mixte in front and normal in the rear. The _REALLY_ interesting part is the rear steer. If you look closely, there appears to be a bearing and cog on the bottom of the rear steer tube, with some kind of connection to the front lower race. I thot it was pretty unique and wondered if anyone else had ever seen or heard of such a thing.
The current owner of the fabric shop is shown on the front of the tandem. I suspect the picture was taken in the late 1950s or early 1960s,, here in my hometown.
