In your household, are birthday candles lit using a torch?

Have a barnburner of a birthday! Oh, shucks! I say that in a "Break-a-leg" sorta way.

I best stop typing and just post this.

Extraordinary builder and fitter of bicycles. Extraordinary human being- humble, kind, helpful, friendly. Happy birthday to a very special person. May you continue to provide what is good in the world. Glad you gave me such a loving home.

Behind every great builder is his pet. Colby the dog for Tom Kellogg. Spencer the ???? for R Sachs, cats (names??) for Dave Kirk,....

Now that I have King the dog, I may start building bikes too. Doesn't seem too difficult to me. Wonder how many orders I will get. :) :)

Colby was "the coolest" during my visits! What a friendly pooch. A dog like that makes it a birthday everyday.

Folks:

Thank you all so much for thinking of me on the day of one of the big mile stones. I am now officially in my "mid fifties." You would think that now that I am in the 55 plus age group, and at the bottom of that group, I would have the chance to "kick butt" as a youngster in that category. Well, in any other area of the country, that would be the case. In Pennsylvania, the powers that be have deemed it proper to run the categories on the tens, not the fives. So here I sit, stuck in the middle again ...

Anyway, yesterday was really very nice, June and I spent much of the afternoon cleaning up paperwork. Now, that may seem like a terrible thing to do on a birthday, but when that paper work has been hanging over our heads for weeks, getting it out of the way while getting NO phone calls made for a very relaxing time. Blood pressure is down, music was great and then, June took me out for a very nice dinner. Really couldn't have been better. She also gave me a birthday card which made fun of my stunning inability to dance. Thanks again for your thoughts.
