I have a couple of questions that I am sure someone knows off th top of their head so thought I would save myself a call to the LBS.

Do Zero Gravity brakes fit specific brake pads or can you use Dura Ace, Ritchey, Kool Stop etc.?

If you are using a crank set with the Mega Exo BB can you switch crank brands without switching the BB?

Also, if you wanted to switch from a double to a triple, or visa versa, can you use the same mega Exo BB.

thanks, Willy in Pacifica

the Zero Gravity pad holders take Campagnolo shape pads.

There are Koolstops that fit, as well as serveral formulas of Swiss Stop,
(these are are the best)

I think the previous post is correct on ZG and campy shaped pads.

The FSA and Shimano external bearing bb's seem interchangeable. I have moved between a double and triple on the same shimano bb without making other changes. SRAM cranks do not seem to fit -- the diameter of the SRAM spindle seems a bit smaller.

Hope this helps.

ZG's use Shimano pads.

They seem to be happiest loading Swiss Stops, but with a little work you can get Shimano or Kool Styop in just fine.

The 05 Zeros I had came with Campy pad holders. SwissStop pads better than the stock pads.

So THAT'S why it was so hard to get the pads in! :crap:

I was told they were D-A by the LBS that installed my ZG's.

1000 miles later the Ottrott still stops fine.

But thanks.

yeah. but it's pretty common knowledge they use Campy pads. I was quite surprised they told you Shimano.

no offense intended to you. offense intended towards your LBS.

Yup, we're going to have that discussion later today.... :butt:

For those who know me and my LBS's this did NOT happen at BRB.
