View Full Version : Bike Shipping
Headed south for a week and would like to get some riding in. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get two bikes to Florida. My thought right now is to go to my local shop and have them send the bikes to a shop down there.
Thank you in advance

May be cheaper to rent a couple of bikes; shipping to and from along with the LBS charges may be more than you think.

Sound like a good rule of thumb.

Rent sounds like a good idea if you bring your own Saddle and Pedals.

You may want to check with Bill Bove at Phat Cat Cycles in Lake Worth, which is central Palm Beach County. Bill is a regular poster on this board and is a really good guy. I have rented bikes for friends and family from him in the past. That assumes he is still offering bikes for rent of course.

for a week or so, bring your ownDepends on the miles. Once in awhile I visit friends to ride a century. No way would I last 100 miles on a rental bike. You have to weigh money against pain . . . .
