Does anyone know what size wheel the Fierte takes for the frame size 47P? 650mm or 700mm?

I'm pretty sure it's 650.

Is 700 recommended for speed, ride, etc., or does it not matter? Thanks.

It uses 650 for size purposes, PM Smiley for a some very good reasons to use 650 over 700 for all general purposes.

I have a Fierte Ti 46p and it takes 650 wheels. I love 'em. The bike looks in proportion and I don't notice any difference from a rolling pov (although they are both stronger & lighter). Main issue is rather limited tyre choice and wheel choice. If you force 700c wheels onto a smaller frame you tend to struggle with top tube (too long) and/or toe clip overlap.

I also struggled w/ crank length - have now found some 160s which are pretty enough & light enough for me (made by TA).
