2001 Concours clamp diameter?

I just bought a 2001 Ti Serotta Concours frameset. I would like to buy a front derailleur before it arrives, but need to know the seat tube diameter. Typical for these frames, the ST is shaped so that it uses a wider dia. near the bottom bracket, where the derailleur clamp is attached.

Can anyone tell me what diameter clamp is required?

I imagine its the largest: 1 3/8", but you can just buy a braze on front derauiller and then buy the middle and largest size (about $10.00 a piece) and you will be covered...

But, my educated guess, is 34.8. All 3 of my Serotta's use the largest. Ottrott, CSI and Hors Categorie.

PS: I prefer braze on front derauillers anyway because if you ever want to swap the group to another bike, you are not stuck with a certain sized seat collar. Comes in handy.

My 2002 uses a 34.9.

Try eBay, this size sometimes goes at a big discount compared to a braze-on.
