I'm right behind you (next month) so let me know how you overcome the trauma.

I need pointers.

When I turned 50, I started grabbing my back and making groaning noises whenever I got out of a chair.

But I'm sure that won't happen to you right? Happy BD!

Thanks again everyone. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about 50, but I'm glad to report that I'm no creakier than I was the day before. If life is like a long bike ride (would any other analogy make sense here?), 50 feels like the point where you realize that if you made it this far, you can make it the rest of the way.

My dear wife won't see this I'm sure, but I am in awe of the semi-surprise party she put on last night. She engaged our friends Lynn Jackson and Mike Palter (http://www.aahome.com/rainbow/index.html) to put on a show in our home featuring the songs of my favorite melodist, Hoagy Carmichael, to entertain us and a bunch of friends (dauwhe - we had your old buddies David and Judy here). Everyone had a great time.

Lookin' forward to some great rides in '08!
