If you have ever enjoyed the elegant simplicity and bombproof build of a Thomson seatpost or stem, you might raise a glass in his (http://obit.mcculloughfh.com/obitdisplay.html?id=494790&listing=Current) honor.

That's a shame... at a relatively young age, too. Bladder cancer...

Elegant, state of the art products, and very fairly priced.

Very sad development. Cancer is a terrible disease. :(

It is a shame. He sounded like a very intelligent and interesting fellow. I've got a client who's fighting the same illness. He's only 62 and recently retired, so enjoy each day.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ronnie at Innerbike. He seemed overwhelmed at the acclaim people threw at his product. I'm sure he thought making flawless stems and posts was just another day doing a job right.

A fine way his company could memorialize him forever would be to manufacture a classic, shallow-drop, round, Italian-shaped handlebar in his honor. They could simply call it the "L.H.R. Thomson" bend and millions would sell.
They could even have it screened with his signature for the first year of release. This was a terrible loss.

He looked fit as a fiddle. I'm sure this will inspire many to get a check-up with their medical doctors.

The Thomson site alludes to a new Masterpiece stem in development. I like their stems. Light, stiff, nicely machined and they dont say THOMSON in huge print like DEDA. Anybody hear about the new stem? Pics?
