Anyone have an inexpensive source for Mavic wheel parts. I would like to purchase a set of standard bearings for a Ksyrium SSC SL wheel. My LBS isn't intersted as they don't sell Mavic wheels. Thanks.

You don't need mavic parts to get the bearings. The bearings are all standard.

If you've got fairly new wheels, the front takes two 6901 bearings. The rear hub requires one 6903 and one 608 bearing. The cassette body also has a 608 bearing at the right end.

Wheels with a lot of miles may have problems with the plastic bushing at the left end of the cassette body, either squealing or dragging. If so, that might require a new cassette body.

I got my last bearings here:

I purchased a cassette body for $50 and new pawls for $15 from Excel Sports.

Thanks. Was going to knock them out of the hub and take the numbers down to the local nut/bolt/bearing shop and cross-reference. This is easier.
