Calfee had a problem with OEM vendors sending them forks that had their rakes being off too . I think this happened last 2 years if memory serves me right. I think serotta checks for this but using Reynolds QC to start with I wonder how much of this is a problem with their OEM'd forks.

I finally got the fork back for my Rapid Tour - reducing the rake from 50 to 43mm. About 120 miles on it over the last week and no shimmy. With the 50mm rake, it would shimmy violently riding no hands over 20mph.

(My RT is a stock 55cm year 2000 model with 73 degree head angle. Later years and other sizes used a shallower head angle which would need more rake.)
