I have a shimano Dura-Ace 9 speed casette 7700 I just moved from one wheel to another and I can locate my instructions I got when I purchased the cassette that told me how many inch-pounds to tighten the lockring to.

I just tightened it by feel and then used the torque to see where I was and I had tightened it to 100 inch pounds.

Then I read the Zinn and the Art of the Road Bike Maintaince and he recommends 261-434 inch pounds and that seems way too tight and a big variance from 261 to 434 ?

Anyone have there instructions from their 7700 dura ace cassete or know off hand what Shimano recommends as a Tightening Torque for this cassete?

By the way I moved the cassete from a set of wheels, 13 years old, nuke proof hubs, campy rims (Built by Colorado Cyclist) to a set of AR-20 Speed Dreams with white instustry hubs.

:bike:
