Cinelli Alter stem

Now don't make fun of me, but I have strong desires to slide one of these pretty things onto my 1" steerer tube, on my big, red, cannondale. Yes I want to put a red and yellow one on my yellow and red Cannondale. What sorts of experience do you persons have with this stem? Can I use it on a carbon steerer tube? I really am serious...

. . . any experience with it, but I think it looks really cool in an industrial sort of way. If you get one, make sure and see if you can find the Cipollinin pinup stickers that go on it!

I rode with a guy this weekend with one of those gems. He said no problems in 4 or 5 years of use. They look kinda bulky, but who am I to comment on that. He has several of the pin up gals to go along. Sorta like the carrot in front of the horse.
