I was just watching a video of the 2006 WCup race in Treviso and the course is not an easy one. That 26% hill split things up on just about every lap. Each time only the first handful made it to the top on their bikes, and when they had to jump off midway up, or just plain fell off, it held up everyone behind. Nys, Mourey and Vervecken were able to get a gap and keep it in that race.

The lack of any barriers isn't so bad considering that hill and the long runup of stairs they have to tackle each lap. It will be fast though. The WCup race was fast and throwing in the WChamps adrenaline will see it go even quicker.

It will be awesome!!!

My top 3:

1. Nys
2. Boom
3, Wellens

gavin is a graduate of my team.. he will move past 15+ guys on the initial "hill" . i dont know where they line up... maybe 3rd row?
keough and he have battled all year in cross.. keogh won the nats ..gavin had a bad mechanicl and had to run 1/2 a lap.
gavin can move through a field and sprint.
i look forward to it. 2 local kids racing the big boys.

elite men:
wellens 1st
boom 2nd

nys 7th
page 8th
tim j 14th

nys is great. cant hold his best form all season...nor can anyone.
so i bet against him.
