I have set some new parameters in the registration process that will hopefully further reduce the spam. Time will tell. As it stands now all new users

- will need to reply to email for formal registration (as other forums do)
- provide a date in birthdate field. (hopefully will eliminate computer generated addresses)
- require e-mail to be visible to all -

Please let me know if you experience problems or if you know of any additional actions that can be implemented.

Looks like folks are physically entering (not computer generated) profiles.

They have email addresses (usually hotmail or some site like that - where id is meaningless.). Next step is to review all "new" profiles before they are allowed to enter sites.

After this, there is really nothing that can be done to eliminate these unwanted friends
