I just spoke with William and his wife.

William had his appendix burst on Monday evening. He was operated on
Tuesday morning ...

He appears to be in stable condition and will be in the hospital for the
next few days. He is on intravenous. I only spoke to William for just a few
seconds. He is completely exhausted. I suspect the operation was rather
intense.

I'll post additional information as I find out more ...

Let's all keep the Big Guy in our prayers.

Faster too, minus the appendix.

I have been concerned about William for a while as I often wondered if he really had a handle on his recent ill feelings and communicated that to him.

Hopefully William will recover fully and quickly regain the loss of energy and weakness that he must feel presently. He is respected and loved here by so many.

William- We patiently wait for your return to all of us. Speedy recovery, big guy!!

Wow, I just checked, and he first posted the "appendix pain" question on November 17th. That's a long time to go with the pain.

I guess sometimes there are benefits to being a wuss. William, that's what you get for being a big, stubborn tough guy :p

Shorty after Willaim's first post ... he had a ultrasound and he passed
They found nothing wrong ...

He also had a bad cold/flu so he blamed it the flu.

I just had a gut feeling it was the appendix.
I feel partly responsible.

Heck Aneida you aren't to blame- he did have an ultrasound (variably reliable) and an exam by a physician (again not foolproof). Remember the surgical "maxim" is that you probably will take out 10% of appendixes that are normal to make sure you get all of those out that need to be removed.

I was wondering if he could look into something for me while he was there...I've been told that, "the governments been experimenting with pigmen since the fifties...It's military thing. They're probably creating a whole army of pig warriors."

If he could just check into that for me while he's there I'd really appreciate it.

Hi folks. I just wanted to thank everyone for the cards, e-mails, and phone calls wishing me well after the surgery. I love you all (there's nothing wrong with that!!!)

Turns out that things were pretty ugly when they opened me up and had to go more extensively to clean all the gunk out. Rest is on the agenda for a while...of which I'm not used to doing. I'm staying hydrated with the used Sach's water bottles that SteveP has been leaving at the stoop on a daily basis.
