I'm looking at a frame with an integrated headset (Cane Creek IS compatible), and want to know if I can put a Campy Record Hiddenset in it.

Park Tool says, "The CampagnoloŽ Hiddenset is a proprietary design, and is basically an integrated-angular contact type without cups. The frame must be compatible with this design for this headset to be used."

So, can I, or can I not put a Campy headset in a Cane Creek IS compatible headtube?

Nope. The bearing OD on a Campy hiddenset is 41.8mm and an IS bearing is only 41mm.

edit..

as Craig pointed out... two versions ... the IS & IS-i

check out www.canecreek.com, double check with the frame company
which version your frame has. Cannondale's are IS-i version.

Thanks guys.

The CC 110IS (http://www.canecreek.com/cane-creek-110-is-headset.html) is interesting. Looks like they've figured out what makes Chris King sell so well: colors.
