met a messenger from london now working in new york. she was riding this bike and said it was bamboo but only discovered that after the paint started chipping. i couldnt believe it but unless there is a wood veneer under the paint i gots to believe. she was pretty clueless and bought the bike randomly in london some years ago.

anybody know anything?

it's oval tube'd also, which threw me.
