this is worthy of the late night comedy shows.
the comedy writers must be working in the back of the white house.

Bush Confident on Mideast Peace

RAMALLAH, West Bank — President Bush, making his first visit to the Palestinian territories, expressed confidence here on Thursday that an Israeli-Palestinian peace treaty would be signed during his last year in office, and urged Israel not to disrupt efforts to build stronger Palestinian security forces, which he called essential to the creation of a democratic Palestine.

Honestly...Dave should invite the two old guys to the show and simply ask; "What were you two guys thinking?"

I thought this story was wonderful in a wacky way.

Actually, these were his own words, "Bush calls for end of ‘occupation’ of Arab lands."

(Golf clap indeed, more of a Tiger Woods-like roar in my opinion)

What writer could match a line like that?

You have to admit, he IS funny. I dunno what he's talking about sometimes, it's hard to piece together. Sadly, I think he was much better in his speakery pre 9/11, I think the job took part of his brain and toasted it. Keep in mind, John Kerry has some priceless gems too.
